Cookie Policy

Last updated: 13 Sep 2025

1) Who we are & scope

FintechMarker is a digital media brand of NARRATIVA MEDIA LAB Ltd (“we”, “us”, “our”). This Cookie Policy explains how we use cookies and similar technologies (including pixels, local storage, and SDKs) on our website. For details about how we process personal data and your rights, see our Privacy Policy. For cookie operations, NARRATIVA MEDIA LAB Ltd is the data controller.

2) What are cookies & similar technologies

Cookies are small files stored on your device by your browser. We also use similar tools such as pixels and local/session storage to keep the site secure and functional, measure usage, and—where permitted—personalize content and ads.

3) What we collect via cookies

Identifiers (e.g., cookie IDs), device/browser information, approximate location (derived from IP), on-site events (page views, clicks, scrolls), and ad interactions. We do not use cookies to collect special categories of personal data.

4) How we use cookies

  • Operate the site (session continuity, load balancing, fraud prevention).
  • Measure performance (aggregate analytics to improve UX and content).
  • Personalize & advertise (only where consented or otherwise permitted by law).
  • Remember preferences (language, layout).
  • Enhance security (abuse/spam prevention).

5) Legal bases & regional notes (global model)

  • India (DPDP Act 2023): strictly necessary cookies are set to operate the site. All non-essential categories (analytics, advertising, personalization) are set only with your consent. If our content is likely to reach users under 18, we apply an age-sensitive mode (e.g., ad personalization off by default). Grievance (India): privacy matters can be raised at privacy@fintechmarker.com.
  • EEA/UK/CH (GDPR, ePrivacy/TTDSG): strictly necessary on legitimate interest; other categories with consent via our banner/CMP. We pass choices to partners (e.g., Google) via Consent Mode v2 and support IAB TCF 2.2, where applicable.
  • United States — California (CCPA/CPRA): you can opt out of “sale” or “sharing” for cross-context behavioral advertising via Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information; we honor GPC.
  • Other regions: where local rules differ or are silent, we apply a privacy-first baseline (non-essential OFF by default) and provide equivalent choice mechanisms.

6) Your choices

  • Cookie banner (where required): equal-weight options — Accept all, Reject all (non-essential), or Save choices/Customize.
  • Cookie Settings: use the persistent Cookie Settings link in our footer to change or withdraw consent at any time. We may re-prompt at reasonable intervals (at least annually) or when material changes occur.
  • Browser/OS controls: you can delete or block cookies in your device settings.
  • California: use the footer link Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information or enable GPC in your browser.
Note: refusing or disabling certain cookies may affect site functionality.

7) Categories we use

  • Strictly necessary — site operation, session continuity, security/anti-fraud.
  • Performance & analytics — aggregated usage metrics (e.g., GA4 with IP masking and retention limits).
  • Advertising & measurement — ad delivery, reach/frequency capping, campaign reporting; set only where permitted.
  • Preferences — language, layout, saved options.
  • Security — abuse prevention, bot detection.

8) Retention

We aim for up to 13 months for analytics cookies and up to 24 months for advertising cookies, unless the vendor or law requires otherwise. Session cookies expire when you close your browser. Vendor-specific lifetimes appear in Cookie Settings and/or in the table below.

9) Third parties, vendors & international transfers

We work with trusted partners such as Google (Analytics/Ad platforms), Meta (Pixel), and fraud-prevention providers. In the EEA/UK we signal your choices via IAB TCF 2.2 and Consent Mode v2, where applicable. Some partners process data outside your country; for international transfers we use recognized safeguards (e.g., EU-US Data Privacy Framework, Standard Contractual Clauses, and for the UK, IDTA/Addendum). In the India context, cross-border transfers are treated in line with the DPDP Act 2023; where transfers occur, we use recognized safeguards and will follow any future government notifications or rules. The current vendor list is available in Cookie Settings and may update over time.

10) Children

Our site targets a general audience and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly use cookies to build profiles of children as defined by applicable law.

11) Updates to this policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. Material changes (for example, new vendors, new purposes, or changes in categories) will be reflected here with a new “Last updated” date and, where required, we will request your consent again via the cookie banner.

12) Contact

Questions about this policy or cookies: privacy@fintechmarker.com (Data Protection contact).
Grievance (India): privacy@fintechmarker.com — this inbox serves as our grievance redressal contact under the DPDP Act 2023.
